Marketing Intelligence: Built for Local Businesses in New Village
Part of East Riding of Yorkshire in the Yorkshire and The Humber region, New Village is covered by postcode district HU16 and lies close to Cottingham, Skidby and Eppleworth. Bridlington's harbour was first recorded in 1113 when the monks of Bridlington Priory used it to export wool, and today the town calls itself the lobster capital of Europe, landing over 300 tonnes a year.
ONS's March 2026 business count recorded 14,220 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses in the area. Bridlington businesses voted resoundingly against renewing the Yorkshire Coast Business Improvement District, with just 38 ballots cast in favour, so the scheme was scrapped after its first five-year term rather than continuing as a live organisation.
20.7% of working-age people in East Riding of Yorkshire were economically inactive in 2023 (ONS). A labour market like that shapes who's around to become your customer - marketing intelligence helps you reach them.
