East Didsbury Local Business Social Media Content
East Didsbury sits within Manchester, North West, covering the M20 postcode area, with West Didsbury, Withington and Didsbury close by. Manchester's first cotton mill opened on Miller Street in 1783, and by 1912 the city's mills were producing 8 billion square yards of cotton fabric a year, earning it the nickname 'Cottonopolis'. When the cotton trade collapsed after the First World War, cheap rents in the empty warehouses of what's now the Northern Quarter let independent businesses move in instead — Fred Aldous has supplied artists and makers from the same streets since 1886, and Piccadilly Records has been a fixture of the area's music scene since 1978.
Manchester City Centre's Business Improvement District brings together around 600 businesses across retail, hospitality and offices, funded by a levy on the district's rateable value and run in partnership with CityCo. According to official ONS figures, there were 24,550 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses in the area.
67% of new businesses in Manchester were still trading two years on, as of 2022 (ONS). Numbers like that make social media content worth having, not optional - a static approach loses ground fast in a market this active.
About Social Media Content
Social Media Content is our monthly service for owners who would rather run their business than stare at an empty caption box. We think of the ideas, write the words and design the graphics, then send every batch to you for approval before anything goes out.
How it works, start to finish
Step 1: Brand session
A short conversation about your tone of voice, your audience and what is worth posting about.
Step 2: Research
We look at your audience, your competitors and what has performed before.
Step 3: Monthly batch
We prepare posts, captions and graphics, with versions for each platform you have chosen.
Step 4: Your approval
You approve, change or reject every post. Nothing goes out without your say so.
