Local Business Social Media Content in New Basford
In Nottingham's corner of the East Midlands region, New Basford covers postcode district NG7 and borders Radford, Dunkirk and Old Lenton. Nottingham's Lace Market was largely rebuilt with massive, ornate warehouses in just two decades from 1845 to 1865, as William Lee's knitting frame invention turned lace from a domestic craft into a factory industry that made the city the centre of the world's lace trade under the British Empire. The area is Saxon in origin, predating the Normans, and St Mary's Church there still carries a local legend that Robin Hood once came to confess his sins to a monk who recognised him and called the Sheriff.
Government data (ONS, March 2026) counted 9,935 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses here. It's in Nottingham, the city's Business Improvement District, is a not-for-profit company privately funded by its 750 city centre member businesses across retail, hospitality, leisure, office and education.
29.7% of working-age people in Nottingham were economically inactive in 2023 (ONS). Numbers like that are part of the backdrop social media content is built to work within.
About Social Media Content
Social Media Content is our monthly service for owners who would rather run their business than stare at an empty caption box. We think of the ideas, write the words and design the graphics, then send every batch to you for approval before anything goes out.
How it works, start to finish
Step 1: Brand session
A short conversation about your tone of voice, your audience and what is worth posting about.
Step 2: Research
We look at your audience, your competitors and what has performed before.
Step 3: Monthly batch
We prepare posts, captions and graphics, with versions for each platform you have chosen.
Step 4: Your approval
You approve, change or reject every post. Nothing goes out without your say so.
Step 5: Scheduling and publishing
