Website Creation: Built for Local Businesses in Bedford
John Bunyan wrote The Pilgrim's Progress while imprisoned in Bedford Gaol, and from the 16th century the town became one of England's main lace-making centres, an industry that lasted into the early 20th century.
Bedford's town centre Business Improvement District, run under the Love Bedford brand, was voted out by its own levy-paying businesses in an October 2024 ballot, with 84 voting against continuing it against 45 in favour, and stopped operating on 31 March 2025. ONS recorded 7,280 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses in the area.
64.8% of new businesses in Bedford Borough Council were still trading two years on, as of 2022 (ONS). That kind of churn is precisely why website creation matters - standing still isn't an option when the market around you isn't.
