Local Business Website Creation in Butt's Batch
Butt's Batch is a locality in Bath and North East Somerset, in the South West region. It falls within the BS40 postcode district. Neighbouring places include Potters Hill, Long Cross and East Harptree. The Romans were so impressed by Bath's natural hot springs that they built Aquae Sulis around them from AD 43, and the Roman Baths still fill with 1,170,000 litres of 46°C spring water every day. Almost two thousand years later, the architect John Wood the Elder and developer Ralph Allen rebuilt the city in Georgian stone, including the Royal Crescent's 30 houses built between 1767 and 1774 — work so complete and well-preserved that Bath is the only entire city in the UK designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
ONS's latest snapshot (March 2026) counted 8,485 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses here. Bath BID's directory lists over 650 member businesses in the city centre, and in October 2025 businesses voted with 96.4% in favour to continue funding the BID for another five years, through to 2031.
8.6% of businesses in Bath and North East Somerset closed ('died') in 2024 (ONS business demography). That kind of churn is precisely why website creation matters - standing still isn't an option when the market around you isn't.
