Part of Stoke-on-Trent in the West Midlands region, Cornhill is covered by postcode district ST6 and lies close to Turnhurst, Sandyford and Middleport. Stoke-on-Trent is the only polycentric city in the UK, formed in 1910 by federating six towns, which Arnold Bennett fictionalised as the Five Towns, omitting Fenton.
According to ONS, there were 6,785 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses in the area. Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and Industry, active since 1949, is headquartered at Festival Park in Stoke-on-Trent itself, supporting local businesses across the city and county.
The employment rate in Stoke-on-Trent was 75% in 2023 (ONS). Numbers like that are part of the backdrop website creation is built to work within.
