Website Creation: Built for Local Businesses in Heathgates
Part of Shropshire in the West Midlands region, Heathgates is covered by postcode district SY1 and lies close to Castlefields, Battlefield and Greenfields. Ludlow has stood on the same rectangular Norman street plan since Roger de Lacy began building its castle around 1075, and traders have held a market in the town for more than 700 years. By the early 1800s Ludlow's glove makers were turning out over 650,000 pairs a year, and the town's food and produce reputation carries that same maker's tradition forward today.
Ludlow's own Chamber of Trade and Commerce has more than 100 member businesses and meets every month to represent the town's traders, an unusually well organised base of independent shops and services for a town of Ludlow's size. The March 2026 IDBR snapshot recorded 15,920 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses in the area.
Job density in Shropshire was 0.84 in 2024 (ONS) - roughly that many jobs for every working-age resident. Numbers like that are part of the backdrop website creation is built to work within.
