Website Creation: Built for Local Businesses in Livingston
Livingston was designated a Scottish new town in 1962 to house Glasgow overspill, despite the area having 12th century origins tied to a Flemish settler known as De Leving, from whom the name derives.
West Lothian Chamber of Commerce, based at Systems House on the Alba Campus in Livingston, supports businesses of every size across Livingston, Bathgate, Broxburn and the wider county with networking, advice and events. ONS recorded 4,870 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses in the area.
Job density in West Lothian was 0.72 in 2024 (ONS) - roughly that many jobs for every working-age resident. That context matters for understanding who's actually available to buy from you, which is exactly what website creation is for.
